Hopefully, by now, you have learned how to manage your camera for creative control. The next step is to add some artistic knowledge to what we already know. Understanding art Design Elements and Principles will be key to your success as a photographer.
Design elements are what make up the principles, so please try to keep that in mind as you begin your study of this. Below are my lecture slides.

- Go to Google and find one image for each of the elements. (Line, Shape/Form, Space, Value, Texture, Color)
- Copy them into a Microsoft Word Document.
- Next to each image, explain what element you see and how it affects the success/failure of the image.
- Save it as: Title: your last name_first initial_elements_pd#. (sample: stark_s_elements_pd1).
- Make a new folder in your Creative Photography folder: 02_Art Elements
- Upload your document to this folder
- Upload this assignment to Canvas
