Creating Your Personal Camera Obscura
Okay...now you understand the principles behind light and how it is the very thing that creates what we know as photography. So, let's practice what we know by creating our own personal Camera Obscura. There are a number of ways you can create a camera obscura. I have reminded you in other classes by now of supplies you might want to bring. You will have received a hand-out with 2 or 3 options on how to do this. Let's put it together. I will demonstrate the easiest one in class. You will find the instructions below. You will also find the Activity sheet below, as well, just in case you missed class.
PLEASE NOTE:
The order in which you do this is important. Once you think you have finished creating your camera obscura, you need to be able to explain how it works and use important vocabulary. After you feel that you have mastered it explaining it, you will make a video of your explanation teaching people about how it works. I have included the script and sample video below. When you are satisfied with your video, you will upload to Canvas as your assignment. If for some reason it will not upload, Upload the video to your YouTube Account, then copy and paste the link in a Microsoft word document, save it and then upload it to Canvas.
