Due Date: November 17, 2023
Here is your chance to demonstrate how you have mastered lighting in the studio. The assignment will consist of 3 distinct parts.
1. Due at end of class on November 17: You will do a preliminary plan... In Microsoft Word type what you plan to do, how you intend to accomplish it and who your subject will be. What props will you bring (fan to blow hair? Boa? Old fashioned dress/suit?). This will be Uploaded to Canvas and checked off. Refer back to your lighting studies and decide on what type of lighting you will use. Are you going to use a dark background or a high key background?
2. You will sign up for a time in the studio and produce your art. Use the time to do some quick lighting studies, different poses and do a final shoot during this time. Be prepared.
3. You will put together a page of your preliminary work with a final product.
This project you must move quickly. No playing around.
4. Final project and contact sheet will be uploaded to Canvas. What I want to see on your contact sheet (8.5x11 - 4x5) is several different types of posing, lighting, angles, etc.,... Experimentation is the key.
