Exams will be taken online. You will need to text/call me at 772.245.2090 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for the passwords. That will be the easiest way to get them. When texting or calling, please remember my hours are 4 pm - 8 pm. Since I teach at another school during the day, I might not be able to answer you right away.
How to Conduct Discussion Questions
When you come upon a discussion question, it requires you to post much like you would on your Facebook or Instagram account. You will post a thoughtful, strong answer to the question posed... THEN you must reply to another student's post. If you are the first one to post, WAIT before sending your assignment in to me... just move on and check every couple of days to see if someone has posted so you can reply to their post. Once you have done both, then you may send it in to me for a grade. Otherwise, it will get sent right back to you for completion. Below are step by step instructions on how to answer a discussion question correctly.
Assignments - Microsoft Word
Some assignments will require you to use word processing application. In this tutorial, you can learn how to add images and change the text wrapping on the picture so that you can write to the side of the photo instead of under it. To see instructions, click on the first photo. Directions will be below each photo... You can use the arrow key to scroll through the images and instructions.
A DBA (Discussion Based Assessment) is a verbal confirmation that you actually learned something from your lessons. The rubric breaks down your grade based on Content Learned, Your Reflection Writing, and your 21st Century Skills. I have attached the rubric below to visually remind you of what I will be looking for. While I do not mind you having notes handy, what I am looking for is you being able to "discuss" what you've learned without reading "word-for-word" from your notes or the lessons on the computer. If you can intelligently discuss what you have learned after I have posed a question without reading from your notes, then I will be able to see that you have actually learned something. That is the goal. I have included a study guide for the 2 DBA's in this segment below.
