Lighting

First, if you need to, please go back and review Reading and Response 4 to understand lighting techniques.  This will be what we call a study in lighting.  So, it will be of utmost importance for you to understand the terminology that will be used in this "project."

The Project - IN CLASS

Start Date:  Black & 5th period, Tuesday 12.13.19/Gold, Wednesday, 1214.19/
Due Date: Gold, Thursday 12.19 Black, Wednesday, 12.18

Learning Goal:  The learning goal of this project is to understand the various types of lighting used in photography.

Choose a person:  You will photograph the same person three different times with three different types of light <your choice of side, hard, backlighting, etc.,...> (refer to 9 Different Types of Lighting).  I suggest you use manual setting or Aperture Priority.  When you have finished your photos, please make sure you edit them appropriately...   Then open a
19 x 6 inch document / 300 ppi.  Place the three photos into the document.  Nothing fancy.  Include your FSTOP, ISO, WHITE BALANCE, and SPEED.    Some of the examples below do not have all the information requested above.  Make sure yours does.

This is an in class project. I will not be checking out cameras for this project; however, if you have your own camera, you may take photos outside of class for this.

Make sure your photos are stellar.  This is something you can do in class or outside of class; however, I am giving you class time to complete it. I will use your regular rubric to grade your work.
