Portrait Photography Assignment

Portraiture Assignment

  • Take a dynamic portrait… you may use your classmates as models or other friends. This assignment is not a class assignment.
  • You may use some of the things you have learned on the photo like black and white and touch up… maybe using color for emphasis:  BUT you MUST save the original, as you will turn in both.  Do not depend on “manipulation” to turn it into a “dynamic photo.”  It needs to be dynamic in it’s original context. However, if you want to use something you learned and it will make it better, please do!
You will also provide a Contact Sheet with all photos you took... even your failures.  This shows that you took the time to experiment with ideas.  You should have NO LESS than 20 photos to turn in.  Go to my support page and scroll down to How to Create a Digital Contact Sheet in Adobe Bridge
Click on each image to learn how to create a contact sheet.  You will turn this in with your final product.  This is part of the grade.
Start Date: Gold 12/07/17
                      Black 12.11.17/
 Due Dates:
                     Black  12/18/17
                     Gold 12/19/17

Camera Check Out Begins on today.  YOU MUST RETURN THE CAMERA THE FOLLOWING MORNING BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  If you are ill, you must find someone to drop it off for you!
