Animal Photography Project

Roll out for all:  April 17, 2020.
Due Date for all: May 1, 2020
This project should be fun, especially for those of you who love animals. Many of you already have pets. Unless your pet is really well-behaved, this is usually more of a challenge than you might think.
For samples, please see my site (www.profstark.com (Links to an external site.))
Roll out date: April 17 - Due Date: May 1 (15 days)
Here are your Options:Equipment: DSLR, point and shoot digital camera, or camera phone.
Option 1: Photograph your pet.  You will use PowerPoint for this. You will place your best shot on the first page... In a paragraph next to it or below it, you will talk about what it took to get this great photo. You will also identify one of the art elements, one design principle and a composition trait.  On the 2nd page, you will include 4 failed photo attempts and explain why they did not work out.
Option 2: Photograph wild-life around your home (birds, snakes, alligators, squirrels, etc.,..).
Option 3: If you have absolutely no access to a camera,... You will write 500 word research essay on one of the following famous animal photographers. Any plagiarism  will result in a 0. That means no copying and pasting. A Citation page (Bibliography) must be a part of the paper.
Famous Photographers
    • Frans Lanting
    • Joel Sartore
    • Cristina Mittermeier
    • Will Burrard-Lucas
Use MLA. Paper must be double spaced, 1" margins. Body, 12 point Calibri.  I will be using a different rubric for this this one. I will post it on my website. For information on how a research paper should look and how to do it:
  • https://collegeinfogeek.com/how-to-write-a-research-paper/ (Links to an external site.)
  • https://thebestschools.org/resources/how-to-write-research-paper/ (Links to an external site.)
You will find that most of the advice on all of these will be the same. If you are lost and need help with this, let me know. Don't wait until the last minute... whether you are photographing or writing.
