Black Day: 1, 7 - Start at beginning of class on 2/6 - Due at end of class in Canvas
Gold Day: 2, 4 - Start at beginning of class on 2/7 - Due at end of class in Canvas
5th period: Start at beginning of class on 2/6 - Due at end of class on 2/7


You will need your camera, SD Card, flash drive, Photoshop, Bridge.

Using what you have learned so far in class....

Take photos representing (at least 20 different photos) one or more of the following:
One or more of these Art Elements:
  1. Line
  2. Color
  3. Texture
At least one of these Design Principles
  1. Emphasis
  2. Rhythm/Movement
  3. Pattern/Repetition
At least one or more of these Composition Techniques
  1. Rule of Thirds
  2. Framing
  3. Unusual Angle
You will turn in 3 files to Canvas...

  1.  Chose what you think is the best photo out of your batch of photos. Make any adjustments or touch-ups you desire to it. Save as: yourlastname_firstinitial_FUN_pd# (i.e.: smith_j_fun_pd7). JPG FORMAT.
  2. Make a contact sheet (4x5) US paper letter size with all the photos you took today. Make sure the file name is correct and that it is a PDF (smith_j_contactfun_pd7). If you can't remember how to make a contact sheet go to this link http://www.profstark.com/support.html (Links to an external site.).  It's a slightly different version of what you have, but pretty much the same.
  3. In Microsoft Word explain how you can see the art element(s) you chose, the design principle(s) you chose and what composition technique you used. Also include what MODE, ISO, WB, FSTOP, SS you used.
